-RESPECTUS-

It had been a day since Purpur Coulro died. The Subjugglators had been reduced to a small group of nomads, fleeing the prosecution of the Legislacerators. The reconstruction effort had begun within the castle as well as within the low blood hive cluster, bringing hope and cheer to many a troll. However, despite all the wondrous advances, six heroes stood upon the balcony where Purpur was slain, watching with melancholy as the two moons hovered overhead.
"After all we've been through together," Her Imperious Condescension whispered to her subjects, "after all the death and destruction we've witnessed, I can no longer feel optimistic about our situation. I feel as if this were only the start of the true despair."
"It certainly seems that way," Moloch sighed, "what with the Treasury Guild declaring independence from the kingdom."
"Even so," Marquise Lieuna added, "My people are amassing a fleet to aid us, Your Highness."
"And the Legislacerators will always serve," Frelsi smiled, "even if all that is waiting for us is the darkness of death."
Zenete nodded.
"What about you, Junine," Her Imperious Condescension asked, "have you anything on your mind at all?"
"I have many things troubling my consciousness," Junine muttered, "but they can all be solved, in due time. As a race we have been created to be savage and strong, but that does not mean that we are incapable of rebuilding our society from the ground up. There is always hope, Your Highness; hope that we last beyond tomorrow."
Her Imperious Condescension grasped Junine's hand, squeezing it lightly. "Perhaps," She smiled, "perhaps there is a future for us yet. Even if the darkness edges ever closer, I have no reason to doubt that, in the end, we shall emerge triumphant."
"Y-Your Majesty," Junine stuttered, shocked at the feelings the monarch was revealing.
Her Imperious Condescension waited for no confirmation. She pulled Junine closer, and established a matespritship unlike any that had come before it. As the two of them kissed, Beauss leaned closer to Moloch, holding onto his new mechanical arm. Zenete and Frelsi simply looked at each other, then back at the others. Then, without anything to say, the two of them laughed, still somewhat shocked by how odd these four trolls filled their flushed quadrants. However, unbeknownst to Frelsi, Zenete blushed as she laughed, secretly wishing to be with the one she loved.
As the two moons loomed dismally overhead, the six heroes knew one thing for certain, and that was that they were ready. They would be prepared to take on the days ahead, and face the end no matter when it came. There would be many a challenge in the sweeps to come, but that would not stop our heroes, not in the slightest. For what they lacked in foresight, they had one thing that made up for it all. The one thing that would bring their race together in a moment of strength, and surpass all the sins that had been committed by their kin: they had each other.

KARKAT VANTAS

I shut off the husktop, letting the image of the six trolls float away from my subconscious. It was common for me to watch romcoms and movies of that sort, but for some reason this piece of history struck me as enjoyable. Perhaps it was the only one with the strongest message. I wiped the stray red tear away from my eye, shut the husktop's cover, and got up out of my seat. As I walked away, I couldn't help but turn back to look at the computer. I mean, this was probably the five hundredth time I've watched this particular recording, but its emotional grip had always been akin to the grip of my lusus. Sighing, I allowed a single phrase to escape my lips:

"Maybe… maybe we aren't so disgustingly, hopelessly doomed after all…"
Final chapter

It was a long trip, but I finally got around to finishing my story. I hope you all can enjoy it, suggest improvements or additions, and rate its overall plot, which may or may not have been entirely enticing.

This story was amazing, I find myself sad because I know it's finnished!
But still, I'd say the plot was very good. It had a lot of interesting and exciting moments, and all the characters were very creative. :D
